First Stop, Liverpool!

By Chelsea Carter

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, myself and Clare, our Host Community Manager took our HiyaCar and make the quick hop from London to Liverpool for the start of our national tour.

Day 1 - LEAF Takeover

IMG_7511.JPGOn our first day, we decided to get out there and work with the freelancers of Liverpool. Our chosen venue was LEAF, the tea shop with the biggest selection of tea the city has to offer. Needless to say, we were excited about the variety - from the people to the tea.

Setting up a booth, complete with chalkboard and marketing materials on the table, we were open for business. It was great to talk to all the freelancers, businesses and workers about their working habits, as well as show them some of our amazing spaces they could work from when they needed somewhere a bit more private to work!

Day 2 - Vrumi with a View

FullSizeRender 5.jpgOn our second day, we did what we do best - and worked from someone else’s house. We picked one of our first ever Liverpool hosts, Elom, for his apartment with a great view near the Baltic Triangle - a recently redeveloped area that is home to many of the city’s creative businesses, from graphic designers, independent press and artists.

With a trusty plate of biscuits and the kettle on, we invited the people of Liverpool over to the flat to see a Vrumi space in action in order to really get a feel for the concept. We’re not sure if it was the biscuits, or the amazing view, but our guests were impressed by Vrumi…

We loved the independent nature of Liverpool - from it’s tea shops, to it’s press and it’s creative businesses, we know that the city’s community will only make Vrumi bigger, and better.

Take a look at our spaces in Liverpool, such as Elom's space. Or list your own Liverpudlian Vrumi room.
